Your Local Dog Walker in West Bridgford
Hi, I'm Alex, the face behind Dog Adventure!
I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by them and have owned and cared for dogs since childhood. In 2014, I turned that lifelong passion into my profession, and I’ve been enjoying adventures with my four-legged friends ever since!
I started Dog Adventure because I believe that dog walking should be more than just a walk around the block. It’s about giving dogs the chance to explore, have fun, socialise and enjoy their time outdoors, while giving their owners peace of mind that they’re in caring, experienced hands.

Every dog is different and that's what makes my job special
Some dogs are full of energy and can’t wait to explore, while others are a little more reserved and need time to build confidence. Whether your dog is young and hyper, older and a little grumpy, or somewhere in between, I take the time to understand what makes them happy.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for dogs of different breeds, ages and behaviours. My approach is always patient, calm and tailored to each dog’s individual needs.
I also understand that joining a new walking group can be a big step for some dogs. That’s why I take the time to get to know them, helping them feel comfortable with me and their new walking companions.
Your dog's safety and happiness come first
As much as I love seeing dogs running, playing and having fun, their safety and wellbeing are always my priority. Dog Adventure is fully insured, and I hold a Dog Walking and Pet Home Sitting Professional Diploma, alongside more than a decade of professional dog walking experience.
I’ve also invested in a professionally adapted, air-conditioned van with separate, secure crates to transport dogs comfortably to and from their adventures.
This allows me to explore a variety of beautiful outdoor locations around West Bridgford and South Nottingham, from local parks and open fields to woodland trails.
I keep my daily group walks small, with a maximum of six dogs, so I can give each dog the attention they deserve.
More than just a dog walker
At Dog Adventure, I value building long-term relationships with both dogs and their owners. Taking the time to understand each dog’s personality, habits and individual needs allows me to provide consistent, personalised care and become a familiar, trusted part of their routine.
There’s nothing better than seeing an excited dog ready for their next adventure or hearing from an owner about how much their dog enjoys our walks.
I also love sharing photos and updates from our adventures, so owners can see what their four-legged companions have been up to.
Whether I’m welcoming a new puppy or helping a nervous dog settle into a group, I always aim to give every dog the same care and attention I’d want for my own.
